Rumours on Christmas Eve..

Ohmygoshh!! Its been ages since I have touched my blog!!!

First of all... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! Hope it was a lovely occasion for all!

I have barely been at home for the past three weeks post spm.. i really did not have the time to blog!!! That week itself after SPM was spent with Danny cos he was leaving for a 2 week vacation in Europe on that first Saturday after my exams... then I stayed at my dad's place for a week... got back home on Thursday.. went to stay overnight at Darby Park on Saturday.. moved to my Khaima's house on Sunday.. left for Pangkor Island on Monday... came back to KL on Thursday and overnight at my Khaima's place again... came back home on Friday night... overnight at Darby Park on Saturday...had christmas eve / my khaima's birthday celebration on the 24th.. then a full fledge christmas lunch at Darby Park on christmas day... went for Mamma Mia! yesterday (that was brilliant!) on boxing day... overnight at Darby Park.. went out with Danny to One Utama just now... and phhoooahh its already 12.45am!!!!

*breathes*

anyways... im gonna go through everything slowly... first off is.. ofcourse..

So.. on my Khaima's birthday a.k.a Christmas Eve... we went to Rumours Restaurant at Desa Sri Hartamas for dinner...

When we first arrived at the restaurant we were greeted at the door by an employee who I just realised was the manager Mr Malik!! He was very very veryyy friendly... chit chatting while he led us to our table...

We opted for the 4 course christmas set menu.



The starter, a platter of smoked salmon roll, White Tuna Carppacio and Kattaffir Prawns

I loved the smoked salmon served with sour cream and some caviar on the top... the prawns were fresh.. juicy on the inside and a crunchy layer on the outside.. the fish was also very nice.. it was sliced perfectly thin!! ..and I thought Carppacio style would only work with beef..=X

There was also a complimentary glass of white wine...my favorite hehehe..

Next we had traditional pumpkin soup...


Very CREAMY and rich.. very delicious for those who love thick creamy soups..=)

For the mains it was a choice of Traditional Roast Turkey with chestnut stuffing on the side, ROasted Fillet of Beef or Pan-Fried Fillet of Salmon each served with Brussel Sprouts, Baby Carrots, Roasted Rosemary Potatoes and cranberry sauce.

I couldn't make up my mind on what to pick! In the end, Mr Malik made a special one just for me with a third of each choice in one plate!! Yayy!

That's the turkey on the top, salmon in the middle, and beef at the bottom...

They were also very generous with the chestnut stuffing! Each of us got a serving even though we had beef and salmon as out choice...=)!

We were all already stuffed by the time the main course was over... but we still had dessert to go!!

First of was the Warm Christmas Pudding with Vanilla Sauce..


The christmas pudding is made with lots of fruits and taste just like an extra rich version of fruit cake! The vanilla sauce was very nice especially mixed with the strawberry sauce as well... I didn't manage to finish the pudding because I was already soooo full!

There was also a SECOND dessert! Because it was my Khaima's birthday... the staff and the chef actually came out to sing her a birthday song as well as prepared a very nice cake!

Pwooahh! This cake was super delicious!! Although I was soo bloated I still manage to cram the whole piece of cake into my over flowing stomach.. hahaha!

We were also given a complimentary christmas mince pie wrapped with pretty christmas ribbons!

I particularly liked dining here and I will definitely get mum to bring me again to try the sunday BBQ lunch that had good reviews on some other food blogs... plus Malik the Manager is really friendly!! He said he was going to try and find my blog once he has the time so if your reading this Mr.Malik.. HIIII!!!!! =P

As most of you know.. or don't know... my closest uncle on my mummy's side is a muslim... so this year we missed the big open house during 1st day of raya cos mummy was busy enjoying herself in Europe...

So last week we went over for lunch... I got to see my niece who is 2 years old and the last time I saw her she was learning to walk... now she is walking.. and.. talking!!!

She is so adorable!! Look!!

Also went and see my cousins new house... I had to carry Alyssia up 5 FLOORS!! workout much!! Somehow she allow me to carry her.. muahaha.. I have a way with little kids...

Din Tai Fung

Last week when I stayed over at my dad's place, the whole gang (Kelvin, Sherly, Uncle Lawrence, Aunty Rose, Daddy, Aunty Karen and Myself) went over to Din Tai Fung in The Gardens Mid Valley for lunch.

This restaurant is supposedly an award-winning world ranking international restaurant originating from Taiwan and specializing in Xiao Long Bao... my ultimate favourite!!!

Brought my DSLR that I haven't use in weeks due to exams .. hands very rusty.. hahaha...

Here are the food...

The famous Xiao Long Bao... it's nice.. but I still prefer the ones in Dragon-I.. the soup in the dumplings is a bit strong and salty.. unlike the one in Dragon-I which is light and fragrant.


La Mian with Mince Pork.. I loved this! The pork is just the right amount of sweet and sour... and the noodles are super springy and delicious!!


Cold Drunken Chicken... this is good as well... the chinese wine taste isn't very strong so its good for people like me who don't really like the taste.....


Black Pepper Udon... again.. this is not as good as the one served at Dragon-i... the black pepper taste is not strong enough.. =(


Pork Chop Fried Rice... wooo!! This one is yummy! Super Eggy Fried Rice with Pork Chop... and the pork chop is really tender and not tough at all!!


We also ordered the normal Fried Rice... super eggy.. and the prawns are so succulent... *drool*


Homemade Tofu with Mushrooms and Vegetables... normally I hate tofu.. but this one is nice!! Maybe cos its egg tofu... but its pretty darn good egg tofu!!


Deep Fried Fish Fillet.. now at first I was like.. wad the?.. looks like those fish fillet you get from packets... but surprise surprise.. the fish tastes fresh! ..and it is soo fluffy and soft inside... woo...melt..


and lastly.. Beans with Mince Pork... fresh beans drenched with salty sweet minced pork... heaven!!

Making me hungry... =(

Okok enough about food....

Trials are O-V-E-R!

Finally!! Trials are over!!! I shouldnt be THIS excited since if trials are over.. means SPM is in SEVEN weeks but I don't care!! It's a one week holiday and TRIALS ARE OVER!!!!

I think I flunked in AddMaths.. super dooooper hard man!!! But I shall not think about it!!! I shall spend the weekend lazing around in the house, going online, going to the mall, anticipating Jay Chou's new album *screams*, spending all of Daddy's money and awaiting Mummy's return from SCOTLAND!!!

You know to celebrate the end of trials.. I took Mummy's credit card that she left at home and bought myself 2 Jay Chou special edition albums from YesAsia... hahahahahahah!!!


Fine lah.. I got permission! but still! JakuN!! first online purchase..!!

Ok off to procrastinate some more!! I have nothing to blog about because I didn't have a life for the past two weeks.... just books books books and more books!! Soo.. I have to do something interesting!! Noww!!!

HELLO!!! WOOOOOO, been a long time since I posted anything here.. haha! Been busy busy busy getting ready for trials which started yesterday! But my paper tomorrow is english so I'm gonna blog a bit before I can't blog anymore....

Actually I sort of jotted down all the things i want to blog about in an unused test pad paper after BM paper 1 when I had time to kill (cos i suck so much in BM i'm always the first to finish).

Walauweh!! Among my closest friends... 4 of them got chosen.. Soh, Karthi, Mei Kheng and Michelle.. They are all pretty sad lah! It's so incredibly ironic because earlier this year when we were discussing about PLKN the 4 of them were the most unwilling to go and the rest of us were like so-so... but turns out the 4 of them are the one chosen... soo sad! ..and Soh's case was particularly dramatic cos she did the sms check at night and accidentally put..

I am MOVING HOUSE!!!

I think mummy finalized the down payment this morning so it's confirm I will be moving.. and the new house is much more suitable than my current home because of my grandmother's deteriorating condition... but I will be missing my friends a lot! I will no longer be in Shah Alam anymore.. haha.. my new house is in Taman Desa!!

I don't really have a picture of it now but I the next time we visit I will take a whole bunch of pictures and post them here.. I do have another picture of another house in the same neighbourhood.. but this house different concept than mine.. but you can imagine the neighbourhood lahh!



My unit is not that nice from the front.. haha.. there are two styles.. one that has a nice FRONT garden.. and the other that has a nice BACK garden with a view of the lake... we went for the one with the back garden so you can't really see the unit here.. it is behind... will post pictures SOON!!

I'm finally getting my own room!! That needs to be decorated!! From scratch!!! So everyone gimme your ideas!!!! xDxD!! I need inspiration!! I'm going to ferry my artistic Shah Alam friends to come and decorate my walls...xD!!!

I finished all 3000++ pages of the Twilight Series in less than a week... I think around 5 days...
Just finished the last book Breaking Dawn like a few hours ago!! I can't wait for the movie!!!!
I will reread and scrutinize every single detail of the book after SPM!!! ohh!! and the guide if coming out in December!! I must get it!! and Midnight Sun Next year!! Can't wait Can't wait!!!
